Tue 21st October saw another great turn out for the Birmingham monthly pin meeting with over 75 people turning up. I have not posted on the blog for a few weeks as I am currently on holiday in America with my wife and I am not supposed to be doing any work but……..something happened yesterday which I wanted to share with you. [Read more →]

Whilst a lot of investors are away on holiday right now, there was still a great turn out for the third Leeds pin meeting which took place last night at the Crowne Plaza in the city centre. The presenter, David Price, gave a comprehensive presentation on the many ways of finding motivated sellers, ranging from the standard newspaper adverts and leaflets to rather different approaches such as radio advertising; sharing his results, both good and bad along the way.

David explained how he finds other investors to pass deals on to, ranging from the blindingly obvious of talking to anyone and everyone, to using professional introducers and speaking engagements around the country.

There was also a section on the art of delegation and how investors can use other peoples’ time as well as other peoples’ money; and the sign of a great meeting, plenty of people networking before and after along with a healthy contingency making their way to the bar at the end!’

Last night I spoke at the Ipswich Property Network hosted by Claire Wray and Nick Attwell at the well appointed Attwells Solicitors offices. It took a long time to get from Birmingham to Ipswich and back again but it was well worth the journey. [Read more →]
