Matt Gilks is an Associate Solicitor with Thrings LLP. He has almost twenty years of experience of advising on planning and environmental matters, with particular focus on rural and urban diversification, regeneration, and bespoke business or residential development with critical conservation and transport implications.

- What is a planning enforcement notice?
- What you should do about it?
- What are the consequences of a planning enforcement notice coming into effect for you and your development?
- The criminal sanctions.
Matt advises on planning and environmental matters, with particular focus on rural and urban diversification, regeneration, and bespoke business or residential development with critical conservation and transport implications.
He has practised as a Barrister in the Government Legal Service and a Solicitor at City of London international law firms. His local government experience includes acting as a Principal Planning Solicitor at the City of London Corporation and London Borough of Hillingdon. He also has experience working on large public regeneration projects and business diversification projects.
