Sam Piplica

Hi I'm Sam Piplica, your host of the Great North pin Meeting held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

My name is Sam Piplica and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet and assist you on your Property investment journey as the host of the Great North pin meeting, held on the second Tuesday of the month.

I am originally from Leeds however I now live, work and invest in the North East. Although I.don’t have the Geordie accent, you can expect a warm northern welcome when you come to the Great North pin.

By trade, I am an RICS chartered building surveyor, helping people look after and maintain their property. Graduating in 2010 and gaining chartered status in 2015, I have spent many years in the construction and property industry working in various sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, educational and retail, and therefore worked on various types of buildings. I currently run my own building consultancy, Great North Building Consultancy.

Even though I've worked in the property sector all my professional career, I didn't understand investing. I always thought you had to have loads of money to get into property so therefore never started. That all changed when I discovered pin.

My property investing journey began in 2022 when my wife and I bought our first residential buy to let properties. Since then I have learned a lot, tried new things, and I'm continuing my investing journey, both in property and investing in myself. I am part of the property mastermind programme 37 cohort, and I am continuing my journey now as host of the Great North pin, because every day is a school day! The power of a warm and welcoming community cannot be understated when you need help in property.

I love solving property problems, whether that's diagnosing the cause of dampness, addressing the quality of construction workmanship or helping to provide places for people to live in warm, dry, well maintained homes.
