Doing Your “Duo Diligence” on People in Property - Julie Whitmore
Julie has 30 years experience of working in corporate roles. She gave this up to focus on property after becoming an accidental landlord, going on to build a mixed portfolio of BTLs, HMO’s, C2R and has gained a mass of hands on experience.
She is a writer for Your Property Network magazine, an experienced Sourcer and has been the host of Manchester pin for the past 9 years.
Julie loves to help other investors with mindset, helping them to remove internal blockers and understanding how they can quickly build effective people skills.
Outside of property she is a trained Past Life & Future Life Therapist and Energy House Dowser.
During her presentation, Julie will share details about some of her personal experiences gained from working with JV partners, business partners and Trades people which led to her passion of wanting to help to educate others on the importance of understanding who you are working with, providing practical advice and tips on how this can be done using readily available resources.

Adam and his wife, Sammie founded Aben Interiors more than 3 years ago now after fellow investors came to them asking them to complete their investment property designs for them. Sammie went on to become professionally trained and they’ve not looked back since! They have worked on a large variety of projects, including owner occupier single room and whole house renovations, HMOs, SAs, and even commercial interiors including offices and childcare nursery setting.
Adam's presentation is about 5 key elements of interior design that you can utilise in your properties to maximise your profits. You’ll learn that:
- Utilising interior design principles in your properties can increase rents and end value of the property
- Doing so will likely attract tenants who will want to look after and respect your investment
- Finding out what the tenant demand is in your area and provide that in your spaces is vital
- You need to give the space you’re designing a function first
- Creating a mood board helps so much in the design process
- Planning the renovation as much as possible before obtaining quotes helps with budgeting
