Jules Copsey

Hello, my name is Jules Copsey and it’s my pleasure to welcome you to the Liverpool pin Meeting held on the 4th Thursday of the month.

I started my career in fashion as a designer and project manager working for brands including Nike, Umbro & Ellesse, in addition to creating my own brands, a Kids & Youth brand called Indijo and a woman’s brand “Twisted Muse”.

We exhibited at the International trade fair called SCOOP at the Saatchi Gallery in London twice a year. It became a successful business, however after five years we started to notice the rise in online fashion and the market was growing fearlessly competitive. After running the brand for 5 years it felt like the right time to change and made the conscious decision to fold the business.

After 27 years in fashion, I then started to pursue the possibilities of investing and working in property. Thoughts for some time had been leaning me towards going into the property industry. I recognised a passion for wanting to create great interior designs within property using my creative design skills which were easily transferable. I also wanted to build a legacy for my children.

So, in 2016 I invested in myself and my education and signed up for Simon Zutshi’s 12-month Property Mastermind Programme which then catapulted my property journey.

I continued consulting within the fashion industry to pay the bills whilst at the same time gaining as much knowledge as possible about property strategies, networking within the Mastermind community and putting myself forward offering my skills to others. I learnt as much as possible about HMO’s and other strategies, offering suggestions on re-configuring property layouts and utilizing my skill sets to add value through interior design.

Over the next 7 years I worked on over 75 properties for investors, maximising their investments through planning layouts, project managing the developments and ensuring the interior design finish elevated the project and was targeted to the right demographic. During this time i started to invest in property myself purchasing a building to develop 3 flats and have since added BTL’s, serviced accommodation apartments and a large holiday home on Anglesey with a very cool mediterranean vibe to my portfolio.

Education is a large part of property investing & developing and we at Liverpool pin provide a platform for industry leading keynote speakers and local industry specialists to present their area of expertise which will inspire you.

The meetings are extremely informative and also offer great networking opportunities with contacts who can help you on your own personal journey.
